WebTPMS

Today I worked with Alex doing WEBTPMS/Installation & Tests. Below is the task I did.

Firstly, we checked ‘uninstall programs and features’ to see if IIS was installed as we would need this when running WebTPMS. We then located the latest build of HostTalk (4.1) on M:\Projects\HostTalk V4.1\HTD_4.1.0.1_feb26test, we then came to the software maintenance screen where a licence key was provided by Geoff. As you can see Hosttalk was successfully installed without any problems.

After showing me what webtpms does Alex then gave me a set of tests to work on myself. The tests are as follows:

  • Work through all the selection options within Webtpms.
  • Forms Colours (Modify colours of Webtpms forms)

I changed the text colour and the background textbox colours. I am also aware of the load default settings option and what it does. I also added banner and Footer logos (Modify images in banners and footers). Control Buttons (Add or remove buttons on Webtpms forms). I labelled, keyed and tooltiped two new buttons.

  • Configure VME connections (Configure and test connections up to 5 vme services, creates and configures Webtpms application pool (server only).

I configured a service with the details I was given. I have also tested the connection which is successful.

  • Enable WebTPMS for an existing 7561 comms configuration. Click on the hyper-link for the service and navigate through a number of TP screens. I also completed the second part of the test by logging into the tp car insurance service with the credentials I was given.

Social Media

After lunch, I met up with Maxine and Oliver again. I really appreciated the feedback that they give me on improving my social media accounts / blog. I will definitely be taking it into consideration in my future posts. It was really interesting hearing feedback from people who actually work with social media on a daily basis.

My post for the Fujitsu blog is almost done. There is a few minor changes to be made but it should be good to go! Going to have a think of an effective title and banner image tonight.

I have appreciated working with the social media team, its been a great experience and they’re both wonderful people and I’ll more than likely stay in contact with them :)
