FOOOOD!

Start of another week here at Fujitsu. We had the opportunity to meet Haydn Jones and Emily Williams. Haydn is the Account Managing Director within the Media team and Emily works along side him as the Business Account Manager. In the morning, they were booked into a room downstairs where we introduced ourselves, they told us about their career paths and what it is they do. Then, we told them a little about ourselves, where we’ve been, what our interests are and any experiences. It was quite an interesting conversation, learnt a lot about their roles. We then went off for lunch and we all know what dish Jordan got, spaghetti bolognaise! No, I’m just kidding, chips and a twirl.

Before that, they set us a task for us to do before we meet up again. We had to look at Haydn’s social media account(s) and give him feedback on what we thought worked and what we thought could be employed into his tweets or content to make it spring out and catch that extra attention. I made some notes and had a couple discussions with Jordan and what we agreed that Haydn need was videos! People are fed written content all-day of everyday and having a video to watch is not only educational and full of the information the text would have, but a few seconds/minutes of respite.

It then got closer to half past four so myself and Jordan went and sat in the lobby waiting for Emily and Haydn. We then met up and hopped in a taxi to Pizza Hut, it was going to be Jamie’s Italian, but Jordan isn’t as adventurous with food as his favourite Super-Hero is. So, Pizza Hut is was. In all honesty, I love a nice pizza, I was just looking forward to my first experience at Jamie’s.  Over our meal we expressed our thoughts that we gathered throughout the task they set us. I give an example of using Periscope, which is an app that allows you to stream live from your mobile phone or laptop. They thought this was a really good idea! And they suggested we go down to London sometime and help them with the videoing and meet some apprentices and get some insight on how they got there etcetera. However, it isn’t certain, they said they will get in contact with us if anything pipes up. This would be the greatest opportunity ever!

I had a lovely evening, Emily and Haydn are extremely polite and down to earth and it was a pleasure to meet them. I hope I do hear from them.
